The founder of the largest finance channel in the world will also carry out a road show in six cities in the North and Northeast of the country in search of the best solutions
The founder of the largest finance channel in the world, Nathalia Arcuri, is joining Bossanova Investimentos, the most active venture capital in Latin America, in launching an investment committee focused on startups from different segments, which present social impact solutions. Entitled Road Show Me Poupe!, the committee started operating on August 12 and, during the first weekends of November, will visit six capitals in the North and Northeast of Brazil in a road show unprecedented way to find and select the best projects.
Checks will be made for 10 to 15 startups, with any business model and working on the development of technologies with a direct or indirect impact on the social indicators of the North and Northeast of Brazil. Companies need to be digital and scalable, with products or services already validated and, preferably, operating in a SaaS model (Software as a Service) and with purposes in line with the United Nations (UN) sustainable development goals and ESG principles (Environmental, Social and Governance).
“I believe in real, even measurable, impact. That's why I chose my own company to follow this model. Together with Bossanova, we are going to take intellectual capital to the North and Northeast, aiming to keep the money in these states and from there to the world”, explains Arcuri, who has more than 7 million subscribers on his Youtube channel, Me Poupe! “When you take the economy to places, you develop that entire region, fostering a virtuous cycle.”
João Kepler, CEO and founder of Bossanova, started talking to Arcuri in the search for ways to expand the influencer's content. “Nathalia's mission, to democratize access to financial education in Brazil, is great and we know that the more companies are working towards it, the faster it will be possible to change the country's reality. We want to take advantage of his vast knowledge in financial planning to contribute to projects that also generate a positive effect on society”, he says. “Together, we had the idea of launching the committee, but with a differential: the road show???????? Thus, we could move away from the Rio-São Paulo axis and bring resources to regions, historically, with less investment.”
At the road show, the events will take place in the capitals João Pessoa, Natal, Fortaleza, Recife, Manaus and Belém. For each of the locations, a selection and prior technical analysis of five startups will be made by the Bossanova team. On the day, decisions to invest or not in these businesses will be presented on stage by Arcuri and Kepler.
