Companies will offer data processing infrastructure to optimize operators' capacity, in addition to speeding up the implementation and launch of new products

Logicalis, a global information and communications technology solutions and services company, has just announced a partnership with Dell to offer a data processing infrastructure that can deliver the performance required for 5G mobile network applications.
Together, the companies will enable the implementation of an Edge Computing environment in the structure of the operators' mobile network, enabling the offering of applications that require high speed and very low latency, such as autonomous vehicles, remote surgeries and exams, as well as plantation monitoring drones or flocks. Furthermore, the solution will allow companies providing telecommunications services to optimize the capacity and costs of today's existing infrastructure and speed up the implementation and launch of new products, which contributes to revenue generation and better user experiences.
“Dell is a key player in our technology offering for 5G networks. Its high-performance servers add the benefits of an open architecture based on x86, with high availability features and large processing capacity, essential for 5G mobile networks”, comments Kan Wakabayashi, CTO of Logicalis for Latin America.
With the partnership, it will also be possible, in a structure set up by Logicalis, to simulate environments and use cases for various applications that demand high-performance processing. “The new architecture aims to make the reality of open standards possible. Logicalis teamed up with Dell to help in this process, offering edge computing with high speed and low latency”, concludes Wakabayashi.
