Company targets R$ 8.5 billion market in Brazil, largest IoT market in South America
Armis, a reference platform in asset intelligence, announced investments in Brazil of R$ 6 million, for the structuring of a local office and team. The focus is on the national IoT market valued at R$ 8.5 billion, according to IDC – driven by 5G, edge computing and analytics.
“The growth of the IoT market brings another concern: security. This issue becomes especially sensitive when it comes to segments such as Industry and Health – targets increasingly targeted by cybercriminals. The Brazilian market numbers are huge when it comes to the adoption of the Internet of Things, and this also applies to the prevalence of cyberattacks. Because of this, Brazil is a strategic market for Armis”, explains Ziv Dines, CTO of Armis in Brazil.
Valued at US$ 3.4 billion at the end of 2021, Armis' trajectory is marked by rapid growth and global expansion. Over the past three years, the company has seen revenue growth of nearly 9,000%, and is among the fastest growing cybersecurity companies in the world.
Armis is a cybersecurity company with the ability to provide end-to-end visibility, vulnerability detection and risk management for all assets across IT, enterprise, medical, operational technology, ICS, IoT and IIoT environments, as well as automating processes of remediation and containment. The company also has a robust ecosystem of technology partners, with native integrations such as Aruba, Check Point, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Splunk, SentinelOne, VMware – in addition to large public cloud providers such as AWS, Google, Oracle and Microsoft.
Operation in Brazil
Armis entered the Brazilian market in March 2021, being distributed exclusively by M3Corp. “Our business model is indirect, and based on resellers, who can also provide services on the platform. Due to the diversity of segments that we can serve, we are looking to expand the number of partners in Brazil”, explains Josué Maturano, Commercial Director of Armis for Latin America.
In fact, the very breadth of IoT applications has expanded this market to several segments, such as Healthcare, Industry, Utilities, Mining, Retail, Finance and the Enterprise segment. Today, Armis already has about five channels registered in the country.
