To make qualified content available on the HR Tech Platform, ABES and IDC carried out an unprecedented field survey with companies in Brazil, with at least 100 employees, with the objective of mapping the process of attracting and retaining IT professionals, in addition to identifying the hiring needs and difficulties for the areas of IT services, such as Information Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Technical Support, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, among others.

The presentation of the results and the launch of the RH Tech Platform were carried out during the webinar Talent Development for the Future of Work, promoted by ABES on 06/29, by Fábio Martinelli, Leader of the Software and Cloud Computing programs at IDC.

According to the survey, companies currently have a lean IT area and there is a willingness to form a team composed of professionals at different times in their careers (juniors, seniors and seniors); prefer to establish partnerships to provide training for their workforce; and they have more than one source of search for professionals, and the nomination process has a great influence on hiring.

“With the technological acceleration and the need for greater alignment with the business, the gap in professionals with the technical and behavioral qualification required by companies is accentuated”, highlighted Fabio Martinelli. The ABES and IDC survey on the IT labor market is available for free download.

Present at the online event were Ulisses Campoi Martins Rosa, Coordinator for Fostering Innovation at MCTI – Ministry of Science, Technology; Aline Cardoso, Municipal Secretary for Economic Development and Work of the City of São Paulo; Alcely Barroso, Leader of the Future of Work committee at ABES and partner at Voe sem Asas; Tiago Yonamine, Partner and founder of the Trampos platform and business mentor; Silvia Bassi, Journalist and Publisher of The Shift portal; and Paulo Milliet Roque, President of ABES.
