Data Center and Cloud Computing solutions helped the team to restructure the IT department, reducing costs in 60% in the first months
A hybrid environment, difficult to manage and little control over resources. This was the scenario of the old technology infrastructure of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. In search of an efficient and robust architecture, the Minas Gerais team turned to solutions from SONDA, a leader in digital transformation in the region, to support digital operations in a more organized, centralized and secure way. In less than two months, the project was designed and implemented, guaranteeing the high availability of the systems throughout the migration process.
“That was the biggest challenge for us. The time we had available was extremely short and we could not have applications unavailability. SONDA was a great partner in this delicate moment. One of the main points that we immediately achieved was the cost reduction that the project predicted with the optimization of the server infrastructure. In the first months, it was possible to observe a decrease of 60% in the cost center of the Cruzeiro IT”, emphasizes Fernando Costa, IT manager of the team.
Faced with the financial crisis faced by the Club, the result of this project was considered a goal, an important victory. Before SONDA arrived, the IT department occupied an entire floor of an office building, generating expenses for the team and a lot of work for the IT team. “The implementation process at CLOUD SONDA took place virtually, with no need to move equipment. The applications were gradually migrated, without interruption of services”, explains Tiago Cardoso Mendonça, sales executive at SONDA Ativas.
For the readjustment of the IT system, Cruzeiro acquired data center and cloud computing services, in which there is no need for an initial financial investment. In this modality, the contract is adjusted according to the customer's demand, reducing unnecessary expenses. In addition to this facility, SONDA was ahead of its competitors due to its vast experience in managing applications in data centers, bringing together customers from different segments of the industry.
