Program foresees that all vacancies open at SAS Brasil are aimed at people with disabilities as a priority
SAS, a global analytics company, expands its diversity program through its annual partnership with Oportunidades Especiais (www.oportunidadesespeciais.com.br/sas), considered one of the most important employability projects aimed at people with disabilities (PWD). Since the beginning of the partnership, SAS has already received hundreds of expressions of interest in vacancies available on its website and plans to hire PWD professionals for all areas and hierarchical levels.
Within the program, SAS offers professionals psychological support to deal with any difficulties in adapting to work, as well as legal assistance to help with any situation in which the employee feels wronged. There is also support from the Accommodation area, responsible for adapting the company's environment to receive all professional profiles.
In addition, SAS managers are undergoing training and awareness programs to deal with employees in an inclusive and welcoming manner. “In this way, we create a virtuous circle in which new hires feel good working at the company and recommend their colleagues to apply for positions here, thus increasing the diversity of our team in an organic way and making SAS more diverse and welcoming every day. ”, says Samuel Prior, SAS Talent Acquisition Partner for Latin America.
“We are very happy with the partnership as Oportunidades Especiais brings us closer to the PCD public in a very human and direct way. This project is part of an extensive SAS Diversity and Inclusion program, which aims to diversify teams from all areas of the company and prepare inclusive leadership. Furthermore, we have expanded our relationship with universities and other social projects to get closer to other audiences, such as gender, race and refugee diversity”, reveals Prior.
The partnership with Oportunidades Especiais also brought SAS employees an introductory Libras course with 15 video classes and tutorials on diversity and inclusion, a lecture with a specialist consultant in awareness of the PCD universe, in addition to the adoption of a Libras interpreter in all internal events of the organization, in order to guarantee an environment conducive to welcoming people with physical or intellectual limitations.
