With a focus on low or low code solution, #GirlsPower offers 200 vacancies and receives applications until February 4 through the program's official website

Microsoft today opens registration for the first edition of #GirlsPower, a Microsoft mentoring program aimed at training women in programming fundamentals low code/no code (low or little code) with Power Platform. The initiative is free and will offer 200 places for women from all over Brazil to participate in technical mentorships focused on technology and in the PL-900: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals certification. The project, conceived and led by a group of Microsoft collaborators and volunteers from the company’s Diversity and Inclusion pillars – WAM (Women at Microsoft), aims to increase the participation of women in the technology segment and increase their chances of employability. in this sector. 

To participate, interested parties must register on the official #GirlsPower website and take the “Microsoft Power Platform Basics” training, through the Cloud Skills Challenge, available through Microsoft Learn, until February 6th. In addition, applicants must identify as a cisgender or transgender woman, be at least 18 years old and have completed high school. Registration is open until February 4th, at 6:00 pm (Brasilia time), and classes will take place online, via Microsoft Teams, between February 10th and March 25th.  

In addition to classes on Power Platform, those selected will also be able to participate in mentorships on career development in the technology area. All content will be taught by Microsoft professionals who are volunteers in the project and, at the end of the course, all trainees will be invited to participate in a final challenge to compete for 50 PL-900 certification vouchers: Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals After the graduation, they will also be able to participate in an employability fair promoted by Microsoft, which will connect professionals to the company's partner companies with the objective of strengthening networking for job opportunities.   

#GirlsPower it is part of a series of initiatives by Microsoft Brazil to expand diversity in the technology market and support the entry of women in this area. In 2021, the company launched initiatives such as #ElasnaIA, a program focused on training women in the fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and the cloud that in its last edition trained 40 women; MoreWomen.Tech, which, in partnership with the NGO WoMakersCode, trained women throughout Brazil, totaling 33,000 women enrolled in the program by the end of December; Black Women in Tech, an initiative aimed at training black women for the technology market, which is in its third edition and, in the first two, registered 61 women graduated from the program; it's the Bootcamp Data Women Engineers, aimed at learning about data processing and analysis.
