Sharepoint Online solution optimizes up to 50% of team time in this process
In order to simplify, optimize and ensure even more transparency in the management of the internal Continuous Improvement process in operations, Braskem, the largest producer of thermoplastic resins in the Americas and the largest producer of polypropylene in the United States, looked to Brasoftware for one of the leading technology providers in the Brazilian market, a solution to redesign the company's entire Continuous Improvement work management platform.
To meet this need, Brasoftware has developed a new Global Platform for Continuous Improvement Project Management, based on Sharepoint Online, a cloud-based service that helps organizations share and manage content, knowledge and applications to enable work quickly find information and collaborate on activities across the organization, including international operations.
Solution benefits more than 4,000 employees
The project stood out for implementing a solution to manage different dimensions of a Continuous Improvement initiative and bring a standard financial calculation model into the tool.
“In addition to the technical information, we needed to include in this solution a detailed view of the financial gains from Braskem's Continuous Improvement initiatives. These points were fundamental for the development of a customized solution”, emphasizes Vitor Vogel, Brasoftware services executive.
With this structure in place throughout the organization, Braskem was able to improve its internal Continuous Improvement Project Management process, integrating existing flows in this process into a single and intuitive platform, in addition to facilitating the monitoring of key indicators through BI reports, facilitated by the integration of Microsoft 365, ensuring secure access to more than 6,000 employees around the world.
Process optimization reduces system registration time by up to 50%
The new platform is more intuitive and practical, and ensures more efficiency in the management of different portfolios related to this type of Braskem projects by monitoring the teams, resources and financial benefits of each improvement initiative. In addition, it enables increased productivity and efficiency in monitoring projects, being also accessible via mobile devices.
“We have a strong culture of continuous improvement, always seeking qualitative and quantitative results, ranging from operational teams to leadership. Brasoftware has contributed to improving our level of excellence, in a reliable and transparent way. For example, with this implementation, it was possible to reduce by 50% the time dedicated to the flow of registration and monitoring of projects related to Continuous Improvement”, highlights Daniel Fernando Bernardo, specialist Continuous Improvement engineer at Braskem.
The implemented solution also sets precedents to support any area to improve the management of projects of this nature, as it is a highly customizable platform.
