The initiative aims to teach concepts and technologies for capturing, storing, organizing, exploring and enriching data; applications will start on 12/1 and participants will receive a certificate of completion

Microsoft opens today, December 1st, registration for the  Bootcamp Data Women Engineers, which aims to train women in technology. The initiative, created with DataEX, a Microsoft partner and technology consulting services provider, is free and will offer classes focused on on-premise SQL database, SQL on Azure database, Integration Services (SSIS), Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Demo Synapse. Participants who complete the course will have a certificate of completion. Applications can be made. by the official Bootcamp Data Women Engineers website. 

During the course, students will have access to concepts and technologies for capturing, storing, organizing, exploring and enriching data, developing data pipelines for ETL and ELT processes. Applications are open until December 31st and can participate women over 18 years old, with high school education and who have basic knowledge of SQL language and SQL Server Database. There will be 50 places available for women from all over Brazil. The course will be held from the second week of January, for 8 days and with a workload of 32 hours. 

“We are experiencing a process of accelerating the use of cloud technologies and tools to transform companies around the world. Therefore, the need for trained professionals who follow the evolution of the technological market is essential. In addition, it is essential to have more and more women in technical areas of technology”, says Mariana Hatsumura, director of Azure at Microsoft Brazil. 

Bootcamp Data Women Engineers is one of Microsoft Brazil's initiatives focused on expanding market diversity. Other initiatives were announced this year with this objective, such as the third edition of the program 1TP3 SCREENSNaIA, focused on empowering women in Artificial Intelligence and cloud fundamentals; the launch of the digital platform MoreWomen.Tech, which, in partnership with the NGO WoMakersCode, aims to train 100,000 women throughout Brazil; and registration for the third edition of Black Women in Tech, an initiative aimed at training black women for the technology market – in the two previous editions, 61 women graduated from the program.
