SONDA, a Latin American IT services company, through a partnership with financial institutions, presents to the market an intelligent billing system through payment via PIX for the electric energy sector. SONDA has integrated the new payment method into the system for reading invoices issued by operating companies, allowing simultaneous billing.
PIX offers one more option to the customer that optimizes and speeds up the payment, considering that the settlement of debts takes place in minutes. The PIX initially came as an option to transfer values between accounts and, through an initiative by ANEEL with the Central Bank of Brazil, it extended to the settlement of consumer bills.
This instant payment modality came into force at the end of last year in the country and has already won the adhesion of millions of people. As this is an initiative of the Central Bank of Brazil and all financial institutions have joined, the option of using PIX for payment is available to every citizen who has a checking account. For concessionaires, the option of payment using PIX has become attractive because they will have reduced expenses and the solution should guide the consumer's choice from now on. It is this change in consumption habits that companies should be aware of.
“Agility is the great cornerstone of the solution. We built an ecosystem for registering and generating QR Codes, issuing, paying and settling debts using the PIX payment method, thinking about the dynamism and effectiveness of the business. That is, from the moment the consumer makes a payment with our system, the contracted company will be able to quickly issue the invoice as paid, in a matter of minutes. The customer will not have to wait a day to have their account downloaded as paid. With our system, this will happen quickly and transparently, both for the dealership's customer and for the dealership itself”, explains Ricardo Franchi, SONDA's Utilities Product Manager.
SONDA already has clients with projects in the implementation phase. One of them is COPREL, an electric energy generation and distribution cooperative located in Rio Grande do Sul. In line with the financial institution, SONDA is responsible for managing all the information necessary for the registration of the dynamic QR code in the Directory of Transactional Account Identifiers (DICT) and generation of a Static QR code, if this is the concessionaire's option. The program is carried out in two phases: the first phase is to handle all invoices issued that are delivered by email to customers. The second phase encompasses all processes, that is, all slips that are issued, including those issued in the field by the simultaneous reading and billing system.
For Rivaldo Ferreira, VP of SONDA's Utilities Unit, a question that many entrepreneurs ask is about safety. “Focused on information security, we developed this entire ecosystem integrated to debt settlement using the PIX payment method, which is instantaneous. This is a very secure means of payment as it requires authentication by password or biometrics, imposing a barrier that only allows access to the appropriate user.
“With the SONDA solution, the concessionaire modernizes its collection system in a simple and agile way without major impacts on existing solutions”, he concludes.
