Innovative projects will receive investments of up to R$150 thousand
WOW – one of the main startup accelerators in the country, based in Porto Alegre – is looking for new startups with great growth potential to be accelerated by the program.
To apply, startups must be in a "pre-operational" stage, where they already have a prototype but are not yet generating revenue; or growing: startups that already have proven traction or have received some investment. Registration can be made via the WOW Accelerator website (http://www.wow.ac/) until March 11th. On May 6th, “WOW Day” will be held with the participation of the finalists.
André Ghignati, executive director of WOW, explains that making the experience and networking of the group of investors available is one of the accelerator's main differentiators for the development of startups. “The program is focused on building winning business models that have the possibility of increasing the chance of success of ventures, winning customers, aligning strategic partners and seeking investors for the company's growth” he concludes.
WOW has already accelerated 35 companies across Brazil and this semester, it will choose five more to receive investments of R$ 50 thousand or R$ 150 thousand, depending on the startup's current phase in the market.
Currently, WOW has more than 90 investors and mentors who are experts in different areas, who add strategic value and who are committed to the success of the business. The acceleration process lasts 6 months and after this period, WOW holds follow-up meetings with the accelerated companies, helping and providing new mentoring according to the need.
In addition to financial support, startups also receive help with physical infrastructure, training, consultancy in digital marketing and sales, mentoring, service and hosting platforms, press, legal and accounting advice, in addition to support from the accelerator team and exchange with other accelerated startups.
