THE Dassault Systems launches its annual student competition to inspire future creators and help them develop the new skills needed for the job market. Open to students over 16, the contest Project of the Year 2021 gives young people from around the world, including Brazil, the opportunity to gain recognition for their innovative ideas created with Dassault Systèmes solutions.
Students entering the competition will receive a free license of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to bring their ideas to life. Students will also be able to submit an existing project. Sixteen projects in different categories will be chosen based on design, innovation, collaboration, sustainability and other criteria by a jury supported by votes on social media. Prizes include a Nintendo Switch to an e-scooter will be awarded to winners, as well as a coupon to 3D print their design with the 3DEXPERIENCE Marketplace Make on-demand manufacturing service.
Last year, the initiative received more than 250 projects from 27 different countries, with 17 winners. Among the awarded projects were the manufacture of a racing motorcycle chassis, a pesticide sprayer with multiple nozzles for agriculture and a semi-autonomous wheelchair. Brazil was already among the winners with an aircraft created from the CATIA V5 platform in the edition of the competition in 2018.
