Virtual event takes place on May 19, at 8:30 am, with live broadcasts on the movement's social networks

São Paulo, May 18, 2021 - The movement Brasil, País Digital completes 5 years of trajectory and celebrates in a virtual event next May 19, at 8:30 am, with live transmission on social networks ( Instagram Facebook and YouTube ). The meeting will present the history, reports of the participants and important data conquered by the social movement, which is non-partisan and formed by people and organizations passionate about technology, innovation and the democratic and inclusive power they exercise. “We are a non-profit society movement, led by the Brazilian Association of Software Companies (ABES), and whose main banner is to work for the construction of a Nation Project that is more digital and inclusive. Over the 5 years of the initiative, we were able to impact more than 10 million Brazilians through the portal www.brasilpaisdigital.com.br and our social networks, in which we have about 170 thousand followers. We are Brazil, a Digital Country that works tirelessly for a more Digital and Less Unequal Nation ”, explains Andriei Gutierrez, Co-founder and Coordinator of Brazil, Digital Country.

According to João Emilio Gonçalves, Executive Manager of Industrial Policy at CNI, Partner of Brazil, País Digital, with industry 4.0 in recent years there have been many advances for the sector and, certainly, the movement has contributed to all of them. “We had the creation of the Brazilian Chamber of Industry 4.0, we had the approval and entry into force of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD), we had advances in the area of telecommunications and, for the future, we also see challenges such as the implementation of 5G ”, He points out.

Tatiana Ribeiro, Executive Director of the Competitive Brazil Movement, completes by presenting figures on the digital transformation milestone as the launch of the Brazilian Digital Transformation Strategy: “we reached a thousand digital public services from the federal government, in addition to having a Brazilian Artificial Intelligence strategy. With the support and coalition of a series of civil society organizations, the productive sector and the government, we will be able to advance this challenge ”.

The initiative of the Brazil, País Digital movement is fundamental and will continue to fulfill this important role of promoting change, of bringing information to people about the transformation that is in full swing and that has the potential to bring many other benefits to society.

In addition to the virtual celebration on May 19, the organizers of Brazil, País Digital will continue to celebrate and discuss the digital transformation in the days after the event.
