Startups from any region of Brazil and aimed at any segment can enroll until the day May 30th and the selected ones will be known in June
The accelerator Overdrives, which is maintained by Grupo Ser Educacional - one of the largest Brazilian groups of higher education, has just opened registration for the new acceleration program that will select up to 5 Brazilian startups from any region of the country. Interested parties will have until May 30 to submit their projects at site.
Each selected team will receive a contribution in the amount of 120 thousand reais and will have professional training and connection with the global innovation market. The focus of the selection is to identify startups in the beginning of operations, that is, with an initial product on the market and the first customers in use. The program will take place remotely due to the pandemic of the new coronavirus and startups from any region of Brazil, aimed at any economic segment can apply.
The program has 6 months of intense acceleration immersion. In all editions they deliver a wide network of mentors, investors and specialists in different markets. With an active methodology, the acceleration program assists in making strategic decisions, in creating a strong operation and in connecting with a network of experienced mentors in key areas for the development of startups. The accelerator supports national startups with different business and market models.
“With the pandemic of the new coronavirus, our entire methodological base was redesigned so that, today, being remote is strategically more interesting. The new method was applied in the last two classes and proved to deliver the same quality of the face-to-face processes ”, explained the head of the accelerator, Luiz Gomes. In addition, in the last edition, one of the accelerated startups received a contribution of R$600.000,00 already in the 3rd month of the acceleration.
The program presents an attractive acceleration model to cover the five main demands of startups in the beginning of operations: Access to capital, Strategic and Operational Monitoring, Connection with the Market, Technical Support through an extensive network of mentors and the development of a entrepreneurial community open to the exchange of experiences.
With almost 3 years of operation, Overdrives has already received more than 1,000 registrations and carried out 4 acceleration classes, investing more than R $ 1.5 million in 16 startups that operate in 7 different markets. For 2021, the accelerator intends to make 10 investments approaching even more startups that operate in any regions of Brazil.
