In a partnership between BidWeb and OriginalMy, supported by various institutions that represent women, the security market and lawyers, the Pode Provar platform wants to promote the reduction of violence against women in society through technology with legal validation and free of charge.

International Women's Day 2021 (March 8) was the chosen date for the launch of the platform Can I prove (www.possoprovar.org), created from an initiative by Bidweb Security IT and OriginalMy to collect digital evidence using blockchain. The technology was made available to society with the support of WOMCY (Women in Cybersecurity) Brazil chapter, OAB, LIDE Mulher, Porto Digital, ABES, Brazil Movement, Digital Country, Transforms Recife, Women of Brazil - Recife, Experience Club, Diferen / TI, IBRASPD, Valcann Cloud Intelligence, Uchôa Cavalcanti Advogados, among other supporters.

The announcement of the launch had the participation of cybercrime specialist Delegado Meneses, from the Civil Police of Pernambuco, in an online conversation with supporters and others interested in the debate on violence against women.

Flávia Brito, CEO of Bidweb Security IT

“Especially in 2020, with the pandemic, complaints in women's police stations have reduced dramatically. But, because they are at home, this does not mean that there has been an effective decrease in the number of cases. For this reason, we are very proud to announce Digital Evidence on such a significant date, bringing together processes, technology and people who can contribute to effective evidence, ”said Flávia Brito, CEO of Bidweb Security IT. "In this way, OriginalMy will help women victims of violence to collect evidence online for free through PAC WEB, from OriginalMy", adds Flávia.

Legal validity

PACWeb makes a complete copy of the content that is being viewed in the browser and generates a report proving its existence. From the report generated by the plugin, a unique and exclusive code is created, which identifies the document. With blockchain certification - a type of technology that increases data security -, it is possible to prove that the evidence collected has not been modified, with the content being preserved even if the original action is deleted. It also receives an additional layer of protection that indicates the exact date and time when the evidence was collected (time stamp). In addition, it guarantees legal validity because PACWeb is already recognized by the Courts as valid in legal proceedings (art. 369 of CPC / 2015).
