Event will address successful Internet of Things applications

 
On the 1st and 2nd of September 2016, the 1st Brazilian and Latin American IoT Congress will take place, organized by the Brazilian Internet of Things Forum, in São Paulo, whose main theme is “Smart World: IoT (Internet of Things) as the basis for a better world!”.
 
The event, which has the institutional support of ABES, will address successful applications, the needs and difficulties in using the technology and the recommendations and challenges for the Internet of Things to be used to its full potential. According to Gartner, 6.4 billion connected devices will be used worldwide in 2016, around 30% more than in 2015. This number is expected to reach 11.4 billion things by 2018. 
 
The Internet of Things is becoming increasingly known as a technological resource, which allows the creation of innovative solutions in all segments of society. At the same time, there is an increase in demands, the need for professionals with special skills and more investments in information security and protection of digital environments.

“Smart Cities – Structuring projects in Brazil to increase the potential of the ICT/IoT chain”, “Current health problems and solutions based on IoT” and “A 5-year plan for IoT in Brazil” are some of the topics that will be covered in the sessions.
