Qlik announced improvements to Insight Advisor, its Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant integrated directly into Qlik Sense to provide the most advanced augmented intelligence capabilities for cloud analysis. Based on Qlik's unique associative engine, combined with investments in natural language processing (NLP) and cognitive technology, Insight Advisor deepens Qlik's enhanced analysis with AI-driven assistance that adds value to every data interaction for analytics users in the cloud.
“Analytics users want to do more with their data, but often find it difficult to know where to look or what next steps to take. Insight Advisor offers these users a complete and powerful AI assistant, integrated directly into Qlik Sense, to help guide them through each stage of their data exploration and analysis journey, ”says César Ripari, director of Pre Qlik sales for Latin America. “Qlik Sense users are just a click or a question away from the assistance needed to gain more insights and value from the data. And with each interaction, Insight Advisor learns from them, creating a virtuous cycle where they become smarter together, increasing literacy and the use of user data. ”
Users can interact with Insight Advisor in a number of different ways, taking advantage of a full range of Qlik Sense native analytics capabilities enhanced by AI. This includes visual analysis based on research (guided by NLP), conversational analysis (chat), associative insights to expose hidden data relationships, assistance with data creation and preparation, and advanced analytical calculation and integration. The enhanced augmented intelligence features available in the September 2020 Qlik Sense release include:
Insight Advisor Chat - A new, fully conversational analysis experience native to Qlik Sense SaaS, available on the Qlik Sense hub in multiple languages. Uses NLP and natural language generation to understand the user's intention and generate narrative and visual responses. In addition, it analyzes the application of Qlik Sense for answers and allows the direct transition to visual analysis based on research for deeper exploration.
Business logic - Ability to create business rules and metadata to customize and guide Insight Advisor behavior by generating insights and understanding natural language. It includes the ability to logically group fields, sort data, specify default behaviors, define preferred relationships, and more. For example, organizations can set up regional data requests to automatically include the correct countries, as defined by the company. You can also customize NLP, including defining vocabulary rules and synonyms for more natural interaction.
Advanced analytical calculation - The introduction of advanced analytical calculus integrated with the associative engine of Qlik. A new function, K-Means Clustering, allows data points to be grouped based on similarity and is highly useful for customer segmentation, fraud detection and many other use cases. In addition, Insight Advisor will now automatically generate the cluster and correlation graphs in visual, research-based analysis. Qlik plans to introduce additional new advanced calculations in the future.
Visual analysis based on mobile search - In addition to chat, search-based insight generation is now available on handheld devices, providing a more intuitive way to create new analytics and insights in small formats.
Qlik also makes it easy to take advantage of AI-driven cloud analytics, improving the data migration path to Qlik Sense SaaS with the launch of Qlik DataTransfer, a lightweight and easy-to-use utility, integrated directly into Qlik Sense, which helps organizations to more easily and securely migrate on-premises data to the cloud. Qlik DataTransfer takes advantage of Qlik Sense's full ability to combine and transform data. This ensures that data reaches the cloud ready for analysis and is kept up to date in Qlik Sense SaaS applications, making data even faster to take advantage of Insight Advisor's enhanced intelligence capabilities.
