The initiative brought together teachers in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for a hands-on immersion in AI, focusing on the application of the technology in the classroom.

Earlier this month, Oracle Academy hosted a hands-on Artificial Intelligence training program for 200 Brazilian teachers, the Oracle Academy AI Bootcamp, with sessions held at Anhembi Morumbi University in São Paulo and Senac College in Rio de Janeiro. With a fully immersive and practical format, the sessions brought together university and technical school teachers who use and teach AI daily, promoting an intensive training journey.

The program included three activities led by Oracle experts, who conducted workshop-style labs with AI-focused content. A key highlight was the hands-on format, which utilized materials and tools from Oracle Academy itself as the basis for the training, with content structured so that teachers can easily replicate it in the classroom, regardless of their area of expertise.

These initiatives were part of a regional agenda for Oracle Academy in Latin America, which has already visited cities such as Santiago, Bogotá, and Guadalajara, reinforcing the program's commitment to training educators in more than 140 countries.

“By fostering an environment of technical exchange, hands-on experimentation, and immersion in AI, Oracle Academy consolidates its role as a bridge between education and the market, empowering educators to train professionals ready to lead in an increasingly data-driven and artificial intelligence-oriented world,” says Miguel Azevedo, manager of Oracle Academy in Brazil.

“The Oracle Academy AI Bootcamp greatly enhanced our teaching practice. The program, led by Oracle experts, showed practical ways to bring AI, OCI, machine learning, and other technologies into the classroom. It is an initiative that strengthens the quality of teaching and enhances students' preparation for the technology market,” says Professor Guilherme Barros, coordinator of Information Technology courses at Anhembi Morumbi University.

With over 25 years of experience, Oracle Academy currently serves more than 16,000 educational institutions and supports approximately 6,000 teachers globally, offering access to technologies, curricula, and educational resources to prepare students for market demands. In Brazil, the strategy has been to broaden the reach of artificial intelligence beyond traditionally technical areas, encouraging the application of the technology in different disciplines and academic contexts.
