Scholarships above R$ 2,400, high chances of permanent employment, and affirmative action opportunities for university students aged 50+ are among the highlights of the Acelera Mercantil program.

Banco Mercantil, a financial institution specializing in the 50+ demographic, is now accepting applications from university students interested in starting a career in the financial sector. A total of 114 positions will be available this first semester, distributed across 13 states.
These opportunities are part of Acelera Mercantil, the institution's ongoing internship program, which conducts monthly selections in different regions of the country, focusing on capital cities and metropolitan areas with more than 100,000 inhabitants.
In the service units, interns provide customer support, assist with customer service, and handle administrative tasks at the service points. At the corporate headquarters, internships are available in areas such as Legal, Controllership, Customer Service Channels, Credit, Communication and Marketing, Ombudsman, Engineering, Technology, and Human Resources, with specific responsibilities depending on the area.
The program also includes affirmative action slots for university students aged 50 or older, through Acelera+, an initiative focused on generational inclusion.
According to Aline Carneiro, Recruitment and Selection Coordinator at Mercantil, applications remain open throughout the year. Candidates who are not immediately selected will remain in the talent pool for future opportunities.
“The Acelera Mercantil program was designed to boost career paths at different stages of life. We have young people starting their professional journey and also university students over 50 who have decided to start over. We value this generational diversity as a competitive advantage. When we make room for different experiences and stories, we strengthen the culture and expand our capacity to innovate,” he emphasizes.
The vacancies are intended for students from the first semester onwards in courses such as Administration, Actuarial Sciences, Accounting Sciences, Economic Sciences, Commercial Management, Financial Management, Business Management, Service Management, Management Processes, Administrative Management, Banking Management and Sales Management, among others.
The opportunities will be directed to the states of São Paulo, Goiás, Santa Catarina, Bahia, Paraná, Espírito Santo, Rio Grande do Norte, Ceará, Pernambuco, Paraíba, Sergipe, Minas Gerais, and Mato Grosso.
