The resources will be available to Brazilian companies of all sizes and will not need to be repaid to the granting institutions.
The objective is to promote national reindustrialization, focusing on sustainability, technological autonomy, and reducing external dependence, as well as stimulating job and income generation. Companies with technological development proposals aligned with the thematic lines of the NIB's six strategic sectors are eligible to apply: agro-industrial chains, health, infrastructure, digital transformation, energy transition, and national defense. Eligible items include personnel expenses, consulting services, equipment, and consumable materials.
“From the beginning of our administration until the end of 2025, the MCTI, through Finep, invested R$ 44.3 billion, including counterpart funds, in projects related to the New Industry Brazil. Now, we are announcing a new package of approximately R$ 3.3 billion in non-reimbursable resources to support innovation and sustainable growth in the country,” highlighted the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Luciana Santos.
