Alura Guide for Companies provides tips on how to communicate with ChatGPT within the People sector, helping teams optimize tasks
AI tools play an increasingly important role in the area of Human Resources (HR). According to Randstad's “Talent Trends” study, 76% of Brazilian companies had a positive return when investing in technologies of this type, and in the automation and robotization of the sector in general, in the last year alone.

Adriano Almeida, co-founder and COO of alura and responsible for Alura for Business, highlights that tools in this category, such as ChatGPT, come to aggregate the work of professionals. “From recruitment and selection processes to team training, the automation of processes generated with this resource allows teams to act more strategically, gaining scale, agility and efficiency on a daily basis”, he says.
However, industry experts need to pay attention to the prompts (commands to start interactions with the software) sent to the chatbot developed by Open AI and other AI systems, whether to provide more assertive responses or to protect personal and company data. Therefore, the technology school's business unit created the AI Guide for HR, which shows how to apply these solutions in your routine efficiently and safely.
We highlight 4 prompts present in the document that can be used in the following segments of the area. Check out:
- Training and development
ChatGPT is great for organizing and optimizing team development, creating menus, engaging employees in training actions and improving training programs that are already running. In the segment, it is also very common to create study plans, which, with the help of AI, can be completed in a much shorter period of time than normal. In this case, a good prompt would be:
I would like to suggest a study plan on [topic to be covered] for [target audience]. The plan must also include a proposed schedule for [chosen period]. Consider that the person will study [weekdays/weekends or holidays], [daily workload].
- Recruitment and selection
In this area, customizing solutions is very important and ChatGPT can support specialists in this regard by preparing good tests for a given vacancy, ideas for different approaches to an interview and producing qualified feedback for candidates. Another activity that takes a lot of time and needs to align the employee's profile with the characteristics of the vacancy and the company's culture is the job description. For this step, the following prompt should help:
I would like a job description for [job name + seniority level], with [insert length of experience, if necessary]. It is important to include essential and desirable requirements, length of experience and that the person must be aligned with our culture, which prioritizes [point 1], [point 2] and [point 3].
- Employer Branding
Those who work with Internal Communications and Employer Branding rely on AI in the brainstorming process to engage teams, actions linked to the year's commemorative dates and support for the production of emails intended for employees. In this last task, teams need to stay up to date with company news, so a prompt that would contribute to this objective is:
I would like an email to communicate [event/situation to be reported] and encourage employees to [situation that needs to be enhanced: participating in a party/action]. It is important to warn that everyone [action they need to perform: confirm presence/respond to email/fill out form] until [deadline, if any]. Please use direct and non-formal language.
- Personal department
A sector that needs to be extra careful to carry out its activities – after all, as the name suggests, it deals directly with people – is the Personnel Department. One of its functions, for example, is to support the process of checking information about legislation, which will certainly be facilitated by AI through this prompt:
What law specifies the [insert which point of legislation you need to consult] and what legal implications can I suffer if I don't comply?
It is worth highlighting that, both for the Human Resources Department and in relation to other HR sectors, the use of AI does not replace human action, but rather supports the area for strategic action. Therefore, the evaluation of ChatGPT responses by employees is essential, in order to understand whether they really follow the company's ethical and legal principles.
